Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code from your phone when you sign in, so nobody can use your account with only your password.

Turn it on

1. Install Google Authenticator (or a similar authenticator app) on your phone.
2. In Forewrite, click your profile picture (top right) and choose 2-Factor Auth..
3. Scan the QR Code with the app.
4. Enter the code the app shows and click Enable 2FA.

From now on, Forewrite asks for the current code from the app each time you sign in.

Turn it off

Open 2-Factor Auth. again and click Deactivate 2FA.

Lost your phone?

Without the app you cannot finish signing in. Contact us from your account email and we will help you get back in.
